Southern Clue Co. Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Southern Clue Co. for your mystery picnic experience! Please carefully read the following Terms & Conditions, which govern your participation in our events. 

  1. Experience Overview 

Southern Clue Co. curates self-guided picnic experiences that include clues, walking routes, and recommendations for local food and beverage partners. We do not directly prepare, handle, or serve any food or drinks. 

  1. Assumption of Risk 

By participating in this experience, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
– Walking outdoors in varying weather and terrain
– Potential allergies or sensitivities from food or drink
– Risks associated with public or private venues

You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, or loss that may result from your participation. 

  1. Third-Party Vendors 

Southern Clue Co. partners with local restaurants and shops for portions of your experience. These vendors are independent third parties responsible for:
– Preparing and serving all food and beverages
– Maintaining all health and safety standards

Southern Clue Co. is not liable for any issues arising from vendor services, including food-related illnesses or dissatisfaction with service. 

  1. Guest Responsibilities 

Guests agree to:
– Follow all local laws and venue rules, including rules surrounding pets in their establishment
– If consuming alcohol, you confirm you are over 21 years of age and will consume responsibly (if applicable)
– Notify Southern Clue Co.  of any allergies or dietary restrictions at time of booking. 
– Supervise minors at all times (if participating) 

  1. Cancellations & Refunds 

All ticket sales are final and events are Rain or Shine. Should inclement weather impact the ability for Southern Clue Co. and one or all vendors to fulfill their portion of your picnic, Southern Clue Co may offer to reschedule and/or offer a credit or refund at our discretion.  

Expressly for the Southern Signature package – should it be raining at the time of your picnic, or previous rains cause the ground to be too wet to set up your luxury picnic, you will be notified via email, your package downgraded to Southern Hospitality and a refund of the difference provided.  

  1. Transfer of Services  

Southern Clue Co. will not transfer picnic services to any other party.  The exception is for our gift purchases, which may be purchased by another party and gifted to a recipient; however, that recipient may not transfer services to another party. 

  1. Photography & Media Release 

By attending, you grant Southern Clue Co. permission to use photos or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes, or that you have shared on social media tagged with our social media handles. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform us prior to the event by contacting support@southernclueco.com.  

  1. Limitation of Liability 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Southern Clue Co., its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damages arising out of or related to your participation in the experience. 

  1. Indemnification 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Southern Clue Co. from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from your actions or participation. 

  1. Changes to Terms 

Southern Clue Co. reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and will apply to future bookings. 

  1. Acceptance 

By purchasing a ticket or participating in a Southern Clue Co. experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
